So Bambino was amazing and I am now reading the second and final book of this series by Desiree. Opium is a continuation of Bambino and I promise you, the way Bambino ended, you HAVE to read Opium right away. This book is based off hope, flaws, and secrets. It is a series of story lines consisting of two people growing up in the same neighborhood and not realizing it until they fell in love, about finding out the dirty secrets of a major and finding justice, about arranged marriages and the hardship in that, and about a girl falling in love with an annoying neighbor who yells at her every time she goes to the mailbox. As the author states:
this is for the true book lovers, romantics, and dreamers….
aka, this book is for readers like me ❤
My book club met on Saturday and a new book was released for us to read! This month we will be reading Bambino by Desiree Granger.
The book has received 4 ½ stars on Amazon so I am excited to see what it is about! Based on the description, this is one sassy book! Supposedly it has a hint of drama, romance, and thrill! I have read multiple books by this author and she normally has a story line full of crazy family drama, unforeseen twist etc. however this story line is different! This is a story with a romance that deals with a few couples being in a relationships and how their stories are all very separate but end up intertwining together.
Just for sneak peak purposes, one couple is your typical good girl meets and falls in love with bad boy who never intended on stealing her heart, mind, body and soul but did.
I will definitely let you guys know how it goes!
This week I am traveling for work so I was ecstatic that I finished my last book in the Black Land Series (amazing by the way) and now I am able to start a new book. I am about a third through the book and while I am surprised at the slow start, I am starting to really get into it.
This is a thriller book based out of an isolated English village of Beckford. The twist of the book deals with the reader trying to figure out the cause of death of one character and determine if her death was in fact suicide or was she murdered for being a “nuisance” to the town.
Just like in Girl on the Train, each chapter is through the eyes of a different character. I will be honest, at first it is hard to figure out who is speaking but after a while you get the hang of it and the book flows.
If you are currently reading this thriller give me a shout! I would love to hear your opinion!
I am reading the most amazing series on earth guys! The Black Land Series by D. Camille was introduced to me through my local book club and we are currently reading book 4 together.
The books are based out of Detroit where the reader is introduced to five very successful African American men who love their city and work together to tackle corruption and crime all while meeting beautiful women who share the same passion.
Believe it or not, this series has really encouraged me to not only find and figure out my passion but also get involved within my local community. While there are very serious issues discussed within the book, it is also laced with romance and a beautiful story line of how each guy falls in love with the woman of their dreams ( can we say sucker for love party of one!). So I encourage you to check it out when you get an opportunity.
